Goose Island has always dedicated one or two of their beers to be available only to Chicago bar taps. The past few years it was the Green Line Pale Ale, which has now gone into national distribution and at Wrigley Field. Since we Chicagoans take pride with items that you can only acquire in the Windy City, it's time to try out the draft-only O.M.G. or Old Man Grumpy (Supposedly named after the Goose Island Jared Jankoski)

With notes of mango, melon, and pineapple coming out from the Huell Melon and Mosaic hops used to brew the beer, O.M.G. steps away from the bitter taste that the Green Line Pale Ale provides. It's why O.M.G. is a great beer to enjoy as summer comes winding down and we take in the last few weeks of the sun and heat. Some of the bars in Chicago that you can find O.M.G. are:

  1. The Ogden
  2. Jerry's
  3. Porkchops (Currently $4 draft for the month of July)
  4. Reilly's Daughter
  5. Graystone Tavern
  6. The Owl

and of course, the Goose Island Taproom.
